Character Bio

A faithful son and now a father himself, Dean lives near his family in the small-town Riverton, North Carolina, where he coaches football with his dad at his high school alma mater. Though content with the simplicity of his own life, Dean resents his brother Jake’s absence and assumes that he has abandoned the values of loyalty and integrity with which they were raised. It’s this assumption that renders Dean frustrated and irritated when Jake returns to town. In contrast to Jake’s fame and fast-paced lifestyle, Dean’s Regular Guy archetype portrays how the simple things in life can bring the greatest joy and reminds Jake that values do matter. Dean’s fulfillment becomes the compelling force behind Jake’s eventual change.

Actor Bio

Born in Austin, Minnesota, Josh Braaten attended Winona State University where he acted in drama productions. After graduation, Josh began his career in TV and film. He made his film debut in Dumb and Dumberer and several years later he played the memorable Twiggy Munson alongside Will Ferrell in Semi-Pro. Josh has also had recurring roles on TV series such as That ‘80s Show, Married to the Kellys, and Less Than Perfect, and has recently been featured in Criminal Minds and The Mentalist.
